Appointments
The senior president of
tribunals has appointed
Jennifer Helen McDade to be
a judge of the First-tier
Tribunal. She was assigned to
the social entitlement chamber
from July 1.


The Queen, on the advice of
the lord chief justice of
England and Wales and the
lord chancellor, has appointed
Azmat Nisa to be a circuit
judge. The lord chief justice
deployed her to the South
Eastern circuit, based at
Guildford county and family
court, from July 6.


The lord chief justice of
England and Wales has made
the following appointments:
6 His Honour Judge Nicholas
Dean, QC, to be a senior
circuit judge, resident judge
based at Manchester crown
court, from July 6.
6 His Honour Judge Altham
to be a senior circuit judge,
resident judge based at Preston
combined court centre, from
July 27.

PETERS Judith Mary (née Griffiths) died
on 29th July 2020, aged 85. Beloved wife
of the late Professor George Peters and
greatly missed by her daughters Sarah
and Victoria, grandchildren Peter,
Natasha, Madeleine, Alfie, Martha, and
sons­in­law Lindsey and Duncan.
Formerly of Kidlington, Oxon, she died in
Cambridge after suffering with dementia
for several years. Private cremation to be
followed by a memorial service when
circumstances allow. Family flowers only,

ROBERTS Gwilym CBE died peacefully
on 31st July 2020, aged 95 Born
Harlech. Civil engineer; Lieutenant

Florence, Edward, Tavy, Jasper and
