whenthecouplefirstviewedit.‘Therewerelotsofissuesto
address,’saysClaire.‘Therewasa tinygalleykitchenthat
couldonlyfitoneperson,andthebasementwasdividedinto
twobedrooms,oneofthemreallysmallanddark.And
whoeverlivedherepreviouslyhadbeena hugefanofthe
colourblue– carpets,walls,younameit,it wasallblue.’
ClaireandMike’sfirstdecisionwastoextendintothe
gardentocreatea largekitchenanddiningspace.They
opted to turn the basement into one large bedroom suite,1 Kitchen
