buildingwithfivefloors,soit hada lotofstairs,’says

sara.‘Itwasa beautifulhousebutnot ideal for the

children.Andit hada tinygarden.’

neglected.therewerenohedges,leavingthegardenand

houseveryexposed,andthegrasswasthreefeethigh.’

loveGeorgianhousesandwefellforthisonebecauseof

itscharacter,theproportionsandtheoriginalfeaturesthat

werestillhere.Inparticular,I lovedthewindowswiththeir

woodenshutters– they’rehuge,sotheroomswerefilled

withlight.thehousewasalsoverylargeandweknewit

wouldbelovelyfortheboystohaveallthisspace. It was
