forthecoupletotakeonatthetime.Fastforward 12

years,andnotonlyaretheynowhappilyensconced

inthebeautifullyrestoredproperty,they’veeven

addeda stunningoak-framedextensiontocreate

a familyspaceforthemandtheirthreedaughters.

‘Itfirstcameonthemarketwhenweweretryingto

sellthebarnconversionwelivedinatthetime,butwe

didn’tevenviewit asweknewit neededa lotofwork,’

saysLauren.‘Wemovedintoa rentedplaceafterour

salewentthroughandcontinuedlookingfora family

home,thenthefarmhousecamebackontothemarket.

Ithadbeenboughtandrenovatedinthemeantime,

butthenewowners’circumstanceshadchanged,

soit becameavailableatjusttherighttimeforus.’

Theidylliclocation,surroundedbyrollinghillsin

theWestMarches,wasperfectforLaurenandCharlie

whentheymovedherefromLondonandthenorthwest

respectively,aftergettingmarriedin2005.Charlie
