CRACKDOWN 3
Boy have we
been looking
forward to this
game. It’s a mash-up
experience, where a host
of different Anime series
have got together in one
big fighting game. Set on
Earth, a threat has come
to wipe out mankind and
all these fighters have
come together in order to
fight back. The action will
remind you straight away
of the Dragon Ball fighting
games that unfold in huge
3D arenas. Combat is
wonderfully over-the-top,
with ground and air-based
attacks and environmental
affects as the fighters face
off. It’s a three-on-three
fighter, so as you battle
your way through each
stage, the fights can go
for quite some time. There
is a full story mode to
dive into, but there is also
multiplayer, of course. As
for the characters, there
are 33 to choose between
from 13 different universes.
This includes Dragon Ball,
Naruto, One Piece and
Yu-Gi-Oh! It’s an incredible
idea, and if you love these
series, it’s a must own.
Eight years in
the making, this
open-world action
game is heavily inspired
by superhero universes like
Marvel. You’re not really a
superhero, but an Agent in
a government organisation
- there are quite a few to
choose from and level-up - with access to abilities
that are pretty super. The
neon, almost cartoon-like
world is truly amazing, and
being able to leap around
like a superhero and drive
any vehicle you find makes
exploring it a lot of fun.
Your goal, however, is to
take down a number of
gangs within the city of
New Providence and their
leaders. To do this you will
need to blast past their
factions and break their
hold on parts of the city bit
by bit. The action is truly
explosive and it’s cool how
gang activity can flare up
at any time anywhere in
the city. There’s a co-op
mode, and a competitive
multiplayer mode, too.
Here the city destruction is
particularly amazing, and
watching buildings get
destroyed as you fight is
great.

The shortest month of the year certainly isn t on great games.
