you’ve ever driven?Last year I
drove the Benetton F1 car from- It has something like
1400-horsepower and weighs
600 kilos, so it’s probably the
quickest car I’ve ever driven. It
was pretty crazy!
KRASH:What race are you
most proud of?The Sandown
500 in 2017 was pretty special. It
was my first Supercars win and
it’s one of our biggest races, so I
was really happy to win it.
KRASH:What do you like best
about your job?Driving fast
cars.
KRASH:What’s
the hardest thing
about your job?
The travel and
obligations
outside of driving the car can
be a bit much, but it’s all part of
the job.
KRASH:Do you like working
on Supercars as well?I used to
work on my race cars coming
up in the junior categories to
some extent. I don’t really do
that now — our team at Tickford
Racing has people dedicated to
working on the cars, so I only
have to focus on racing.
KRASH: What advice would
you give young drivers
who want to follow in your
footsteps? Start in go karts,
work hard, and don’t give up.sponsors and things like that.
I’ll also do a couple of weekends
racing in other types of cars, so
it’s a pretty busy lifestyle.
KRASH: What can you tell us
about your job as a Supercar
driver? It’s a dream job. You
drive some fast cars, meet some
cool people, and you travel alot.
