Prepare for more than just
a challenge in The Sojourn
First-person puzzle games are a dime
a dozen, but not ones that are as
intriguing and enchanting as the one
coming from UK-based indie team
Shifting Tides. This passion project
has been in development for over
two years and it’s heading to Xbox
One this year.
You are born into the world, a
world filled with light and purity, but
appearances can be deceiving. A
darkness exists within a parallel world
that sits behind the veil and it’s up to
you to discover the truth.
The first things that grab
our attention are the gorgeous
environments, with each one looking
different to the last. As you travelthrough four beautifully crafted
chapters you’ll need to solve complex
puzzles by switching between both
the light and dark worlds.
Not only do the team want to
challenge you, they want to make
you think. According to a blog post
from the developers the game will
be about “morality in our everyday
life, human nature and what we call
norms”. How this will fit into a puzzle
game is still a mystery but the team
are currently hard at work realising
their vision. We look forward to
