Working Out
Apple Watch Series 5 is a great help for
your workouts. It’s like having a personal
trainer right there on your wrist. Whatever
your sport, you can set yourself personal
goals, measure calorie burn and track your
progress over time. The watch is water
resistant up to 50 metres, so you can even
wear it when swimming and workouts for
yoga and hiking have also been added.
Runners will find the new workout
features especially useful. When you go
for a run, you can set yourself an ongoing
goal and then use the watch’s Pace Alerts
to check whether you’re ahead or behind
schedule. You can follow your steps per
minute and time each mile or kilometre as
you complete it.
If you’re lucky enough to use a gym with
the right equipment, you can even pair your
watch with the cardio-vascular machines
and keep metrics like heart rate, speed and
calories in sync between your watch and
the piece of equipment you’re currently
using. Apple Watch can even detect when
you’re working out and remind you to switch
on the app, allowing it to add the exercise
you’ve already done to your total and with
the new watchOS 5 operating system, you
can challenge your friends to a seven day
competition in which you earn points based
on how much you’ve exercised that week.
However you work out, your Apple Watch
Series 5 makes it easier, more efficient and
above all, fun.
