Health App
Keep Fit and Well
The Health app becomes increasingly useful the more you use it. This guide should
get you through those important first few steps with the application. The Health
App is very in-depth and requires a huge amount of input on the user’s part. In this
tutorial, we look at how you add your information and set up the Health app but
not how to interpret the results.
1
To get you started this tutorial will
teach you how to input your basic
data into this app. Open the Health app
and tap the Health Data link at the bottom
where you will see this screen.
2
Scroll up the Health Data page to see
a link labelled ‘Watch the Overview
Video’. If you are new to the Health app, we
suggest you do so, as this instructional
video is a good starting point for the app.
3
For this guide we are only entering
data that we can get without the help
of a medical professional. Let’s start by
tapping the silhouette icon link on the top
right corner, to get to this screen.
Medical ID.
The Medical ID option found in the bottom right corner of the main Health app screen is a
great way of storing useful private medical information about yourself that might be used
in an emergency. It can be accessed from the iPhone’s emergency dialler when the phone
is locked, so a doctor or an ambulance crew can get at it even if you’re not in a position to
unlock your phone.
