LUNAR SCIENCE Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin sets up a seismometer on the Moon. The instrument worked for three weeks, detecting
moonquakes and gathering information about the Moon’s internal structure. Later missions’ seismometers transmitted data until 1977.
