42MAGAZINE21c 21d21a 21bSteps 21a-d.To pipe all of the foliage, I used the leftover buttercreamfrom the filling coloured with ProGels (Pink, Purple andGooseberry). For the leaves, I used a leaf piping nozzle. Hold thepiping nozzle so that one of the points is touchingthe cake (and the slits are horizontal on either side).Squeeze the piping bag to release the buttercream andgently move the nozzle away from the cake to form theleaf. Once happy with the size, stop squeezing and pullaway briskly to form the end point of the leaf. Repeat allover the cake. For the flowers and vines, I’ve simply cut off the veryend of a piping bag and piped tiny swirls. Group themtogether for wisteria or pipe them singly for blossoms, remembering to vary the shape, size and colour all overthe cake. For more information about Dawn and CakeFrame, visit: http://www.cakeframe.com``````[email protected] - 0115 969 9800 - Private Road No. 8, Colwick Industrial Estate, Nottingham, NG4 2JX*price shown includes 10% discount & correct at time of going to print **not to be used in conjunction with any other o ers, exclusions apply.
