56Trace your chosen image using a graphitetechnical pencil. Roll out flower paste,ensuring that you have enough to transferthe image on to. Turn over your image sothat the freshly drawn side is against theflower paste. Trace the image again overthe top to transfer a faint outline on tothe flower paste. Using a craft knife, cutcarefully around your image on a cuttingmat. Repeat the process for the sunglasses.Transfer Designs andMake PlaquesHalf fill your airbrush cup with rejuvenatoror clear alcohol and add a few drops ofColour Flo Baby Blue. Always test the flowof colour first on kitchen paper. To decoratethe covered cake board, airbrush onmedium mode 3-4” inches away from thesurface around the edges of your coveredcake board, turning your turntable at thesame time to ensure an even covering.Lightly add colour using your airbrush onminimum mode and pulling the triggerback gently, so that it dries instantly. Placeyour stencil on top of your board andairbrush lightly, no more than 2” inchesaway from the stencil, on one of the lowermodes so that you do not saturate thestencil and cause any bleeding of colour.Repeat all the way around the board.``````For the cut out girl’s top, mask and pinthe neck and hair strands that you do notwant to be coloured. Airbrush lightly onceagain with a Baby Blue background overthe jumper area. Place the leopard printstencil on top. Put your airbrush on one ofthe lower modes and gently airbrush overthe stencil again, no more than 2” inchesaway from your subject, moving it alongthe plaque.``````Tip – be careful not to saturate your stencilwith colour as this can cause bleeding.Simply stop the process and blot the stencilwith kitchen paper until dry.Airbrushing with aStencil
