How would you describe your
images and style to somebody
who’d never seen them?
I would say my style is more of a
romantic editorial. There’s a lot of
storytelling and escapism to it –
enough to make one stop and wonder
for a moment.

What was your first camera, and
what kit do you shoot with now?
My first professional camera was a
Canon T3i paired with a Canon 50mm
f/1.8 lens. I currently shoot with the
Canon 5D MK III paired either with
the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art lens or the
Sigma 20mm f/1.4 wide-angle lens.

Your portfolio features a lot of
creative self-portraits. How do you
come up with your ideas, and who
or what inspires you?
A lot of my portraits are captured
by my husband Craig, who is also a
photographer. When he’s not available,
I tend to capture them myself. As for
the ideas, I get inspired by nature –
flowers especially – as well as films,
music and books. Sometimes it might
even be a conversation with a friend.
I’m always open to being inspired. I
usually communicate my vision to
my husband who does a great job of
capturing it.

There’s a common aesthetic to
your images. Do you spend a lot of
time editing? Are presets involved?
