advanced machine learning to remove
blemishes, dust specs, and other
objects from a photo.

Tweak the filters
In Big Sur the photo editing
capabilities will be expanded to include
the new “Vibrance” effect and more
freedom to adjust the intensity of

video editing capabilities of the Photos
app. Adjustments, filters, and cropping
will be added to give you better options
for creating the perfect video.

MORE POWER TO PHOTOS

A

s with any big Mac update,
the new features drip way
down into Big Sur’s core
apps too. Notes, for example, will
feature a collapsible ģPinnedĤ
section, a much more powerful
search engine, and quicker ways to
format your notes. And Reminders
allows you to assign reminders to
people who you share lists with and
personali}e your lists with emomis
— if you like that sort of thing.
Apple Arcade will also rise to much
greater prominence than before.
\ou will be able to continue playing
where you left oļ on other Apple
devices — so if you crushed a level
on your commute home from
work on your iPhone, you can
continue playing from the same
point on the bigger screen of your
Mac. Then there’s the new Finder.

A BRAND NEW LOOK
\our Mac’s top level will brilliantly
showcase the crisp, sharp look of
Big Sur. The menu bar will be more
translucent, with larger dropdown
menus to make your Mac easier to

navigate; the windows will have a
lighter, more spacious appearance;
and even the system sounds will be
remastered to be more standardi}ed
across Mac and iOS. We really can’t
wait for this one.

Expect a slew of new features
and enhancements for all of
your Mac’s core apps in Big Sur.
