Image rights: eufy.The eufyCam 2C is an IP67 outdoor security
camera that’s completely wireless, powered
by a rechargeable internal battery that lasts
up to six months between charges.
The 2C communicates wirelessly to eufy’s
Home Base 2, and the base connects to Wi–Fi
or directly to a router via Ethernet. Footage
captured by the eufyCam 2C is stored locally
on the Home Base 2, which sports an internal
16GB eMMC. This is enough for about three
months of recordings, and videos can be
exported to the Photos app on iPhone.
Video captured by the eufyCam 2C is 1080p
resolution with a 135 Ľeld of view. For night
vision, it utilizes infrared for black and white
imagery, and the onboard ľoodlight allows
for color video. The ľoodlight outputs about
12 lumens of light at a distance of three feet.
Image quality is crisp in the day, while the IR

arming and disarming abilities, scheduling,
geofencing, motion zones, and AI activity
detection. AI detection allows the camera to
Ľlter out notiĽcations for things such as
animals or cars, and motion zones are
available to Ľne–tune which areas in front
of the camera are monitored.
All of these features are free, with no
premium subscriptions for you to worry
about. This is a welcome approach given that
many competitors are pushing toward the
subscription model.
The 2C also works with HomeKit, and eufy
is planning to include support for HomeKit
Secure Video soon.
