Drop it on the deck
To use a song, drag it onto the
deck (we’re in twin–deck mode here,
with a deck at the top–left and top–
right) or Ctrl–click on it and select
which deck to send it to. If you’re using
four decks, you’ll see all four here.

Set up streaming
At the bottom–left of the screen
you’ll see icons for the media sources:
Apple Music, Tidal, SoundCloud, and
Spotify. To add Spotify, click on it and
enter your login details. You’ll need an
active premium subscription.

Do it old–school
If you want decks that look like
decks, tap on the View icon (top–right);
it’ll be a circle if you’ve selected vinyl–
style decks here, or columns if you’ve
stuck with digital. Digital is more
informative but the vinyl’s more fun.

Drop another track
You’re not going to get much
DJing done with just one record. Add a
track to your other deck to play either
or both. Click Sync to synchronize
them so they both play at the same
BPM, no matter what you set that to.

Set up SoundCloud
You can add SoundCloud the
same way. Don’t have a SoundCloud
Go+ subscription? You can still use
features such as the featured playlists
and music playback, but you won’t be
able to add tracks to your queue.

Double your decks
Sometimes two decks just aren’t
enough, which is why djay Pro can
work across four different tracks at
once. As with double decks, you can
sync records to the same tempo, but
you don’t have to sync all four.

Add cue points
Serious DJs can add Cue Points
to streaming tracks with the same
keyboard shortcuts as for local files.
Cue Points enable you to tag bits of
tracks, such as a great breakdown or
a guaranteed crowd–pleasing section.

Add special effects
The icons at the top–center of
the window show extra options. We’ve
selected FX to bring up the special
effects — they’re listed just above the
music library. You can add to djay Pro’s
arsenal with extra effects packs.

Find what you want
When you’re searching Spotify
you can add filters to find exactly what
you’re looking for. Your search isn’t just
for albums, artists or songs — you can
search for specific BPMs and keys too,
which is a real time–saver.
