your iPad’s Camera Roll, you’ll
get lots of ideas for creative
Photoshop projects, such as
designing personal wallpapers for your
Mac. We’ll show you how to set up a new
Photoshop document on your iPad that’s
a suitable size to act as wallpaper on
a 27–inch iMac, though you can choose
other document sizes to suit a range of
devices such as HD TV screens.

How to select a subject and create a composite image


desktop version, but it’s a springboard
to getting a project started on your iPad.
We’ll demonstrate how to use iOS/
iPadOS Photoshop to select a person,
mask out their original background, and
combine them with a new background.
You can then sync your layered project
with the cloud and download it onto your
Mac. There you can continue working on
the project using the full version of
Photoshop’s tools, then save a ľattened
JPEG version to use as desktop wallpaper.

Tap here to add a mask to
the currently active layer.
Any selection marquees
will be converted
into a mask.

FILTERS
Tap here to access filters
and adjustments. The
Gaussian Blur filter mimics
a camera’s background
bokeh effect.
