If the batteries look OK, still check to make

CLEAN IT!If gunk or liquid has made it through
the buttons, this will cause your remote to malfunction. A deep clean is in order.
Open your remote using the required
screwdriver, usually a small Phillips. Check for hidden screws, under rubber pads, or inside of the battery compartment. You may need to use plastic prying tools like plectrums or old credit cards to prise open the case.
Look for catches that you need to carefully
release. If you might forget how to reassemble, take photos to help you remember.
Clean the buttons, and the printed circuit
board carefully using switch cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Cotton buds work really well, but make sure you don’t leave any bits of cotton behind as they may interfere with the electrical contacts.
If you don’t have any switch cleaner or
isopropyl alcohol, use white vinegar or even dry cotton buds to wipe away as much dirt as you ěþű᠐'ŻűᡒƷƿƪĩǜþƷĩƢŻƢƪŻþƟ᠃ƷʼnĩǢǜŎŦŦěŻƢƢŻĢĩƷʼnĩdelicate metal parts.
