Just as important, the Quest’s 6DOF head tracking and
dual 6DOF motion controllers solve the problems we
have with the Oculus Go. Since the Quest can follow
your position as well as your orientation and lets you
use both hands with the same position tracking, it
allows for much more immersive VR experiences. The
more powerful processor and higher-resolution display
also improve the Quest over its half-priced sibling,
adding more value to the package.


TRUE VR WORTH TRYING


Virtual reality has been a hard sell for some time, with
high costs and limited technology consistently holding
it back. Even when we’ve really enjoyed it, as we did
wth the Oculus Rift and the PlayStation VR, it’s been an
investment we’ve been unable to fully recommend
without any caveats.


The Oculus Go gives you a portable big-screen movie
theater, and the Oculus Rift S and the HTC Vive are
both strong choices if you want a much bigger library of
VR games, but the Oculus Quest brings you the best of

hits the sweet spot that the technology really needs to
