For its sixth year in a row, our annual cover competition, in association with D&AD’s
New Blood Awards, is now open, and this year we’ve upped the prize to £800.
To celebrate the forthcoming New Blood Awards competition and our own New
Talent issue – which looks at the very best creative graduates across the UK – we’re
inviting students and recent graduates to come up with our cover for issue 295.
The theme of this year is, as ever, new talent – but there’s loads of room to move
with it. You can be literal or abstract, funny or clever. Past winners took on visual
representations of ‘fresh’, ‘rising stars’ and ‘being sought out’. All you have to do is get a
good idea and communicate it brilliantly!
Follow the link below and download the cover template. Also take note of the
print treatments that our partner Celloglas offers – if one fits with your design, it could
be used on the final cover. Once we’ve chosen the winner, they will receive a £800
commission to develop their entry into the final cover. Good luck!
