The slight curve in a
northern flicker’s beak
comes in handy for
digging for insects such
as beetles or ants.I was super
excited to find
these orchard orioles,
a male and a female,
sharing the orange and
jelly! They kept visiting
and eventually had a
family that came to eat
with them daily. They’d
always let me know
when they were out
of food!
