I took this waterlily photo
at Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania on a warm
summer day. Taken with a Sony a6000 camera,
the picture seems to highlight the charm of a single
bloom by showcasing its vibrant colors.

Just about
every day
I go out to see what has
bloomed in my perennial
gardens. One day I noticed
a red admiral butterfly
fluttering among the globe
thistles. I took advantage
when it settled down
for some nectar. I love
how this photo shows
the detail of the delicate
creature next to the
spikiness of the thistle.
