Family settings
Under Security > ‘Family options’ you’ll find settings to limit
the sites your kids can access with Edge. Family members need
their own Microsoft accounts, which adults can administer for
them. When you do this, you can control whether they can sign
into third-party apps or are locked to Microsoft’s own. You can
also set content restrictions, screen time limits, and much more.

Check for malware
There are several anti-malware packages available that
complement or replace Microsoft’s own, but one of our favourites
is Malwarebytes. It offers real-time protection against online
exploits, malware and ransomware, regularly scans your system
for threats, and produces reports to tell you what it’s done. This
comes at a cost, however, with an annual subscription available.
7 Use a password manager
Password managers remember your passwords for you and
lock them behind a single master password. This enables you to
use strong, randomly generated passwords, that are hard to
guess, but impossible to remember. Web browsers will also offer
to remember passwords for you, and you can use a site like
https://passwordsgenerator.net to create them, too.
