CODE HELP

It’s probably no surprise to hear that there are
a lot of people in the world who code. Whether
they’re professional coders for big companies
or teens playing with Python, they all have one
thing in common: sometimes they might need a
little bit of help. There are a couple of great places
to head to when you find yourself up against a
proverbial brick wall.

GOOGLE
google.com
We’re not being patronising here – a good Google
search will genuinely help you out with many code
issues. There’s nothing new under the sun as they say,
and there’s usually someone who has had the exact
same issue as you, or you might trip over the wording
for what you want to do in a very helpful bit of official
documentation. Always give any issue a quick Google
and you may be surprised at how easy you can find an
answer, and how simple the solution may be.

STACK OVERFLOW
stackoverflow.com
This website is one of the best places to ask about
coding problems as not only is it incredibly popular,
rewards are given to people who help out with
an answer. We’ve seen people ask questions on a
huge number of topics at varying skill levels, such
as how to correctly call an item from a Python list
or use complex database commands for a website.
There’s also a robust search feature included, and
Google will generally point you towards pages
on Stack Overflow if you’ve looked there for
answers first.
