n this guide we’re going to look at hacking
an unlikely interface: we found a DJ Hero
turntable at a local charity shop going
cheap, so we had a go at seeing if it could be
interfaced with the Raspberry Pi. There are a few
versions of the turntable for different consoles,
but the one we’re using here is designed for the
Wii. This is the simplest design to interface to,
because to the Pi it simply looks like an I^2 C device.
It’s designed to plug into the auxiliary port of the
Wii controller, but here we wire it directly onto the
Piġs JPLR pins. You can cut off the end and solder
