The key to this project is the Pi Zero W. The wireless-
enabled version of the Pi Zero saves a load of space
thanks to the radio chip included in it, so no WiFi
dongle is needed. It runs at 1GHz, which makes it
powerful enough to run emulators of many eighties
and nineties consoles.

The PiGRRL 2 case repurposed for our needs.
It has some spaces for USB and Ethernet on
a B+/2/3 board, but the Pi Zero will require
extensions if you want to make use of the gaps.
This is actually a touchscreen, although
we won’t be making use of it in that way.
It fits neatly in the case and provides
four extra buttons to use when playing
games. You can also assign system and UI
shortcuts to the buttons.
