TO MAKE UP
Fold Body in half (folded
edge is top of Body) and
stitch down each side of
resulting semi-circle, leaving
base open. Partly stuf Body,
pushing stuing into one
point to create tail. Push
other point back inside Body.
This cone-shaped space will
be illed with stuing later.
Continue to stuf Body and
shape as you go. Pin Base
circle around opening, add
extra stuing as needed and
sew Base to Body. Stuf Head
and sew Eye Patches in place.
Insert safety eye into each
patch. Continue to stuf Head
and Neck. Sit Head and Neck
onto Body, adding stuing


to cone-shaped space and
Neck. Sew Head to Body,
angling Head so Chicken will
sit up. Stitch Comb to Head.
Sew Beak pieces together,
stuf lightly and shape.
Sew to Head. Add Wattle
to either side of Beak. Sew
Wings on either side of Body,
overlapping slightly. Weave in
all ends

Add more stuing to Body
if needed. Close Base. Sew
Base and Feet onto Body
of chick, with treble stitches
facing front to form Feet. Sew
Wings to Body. Fold Beak in
half, curve slightly and sew
together. Sew to face. Weave
in all ends LK
