I have a great personal regard (over 48

years) for the high quality of Olympus

products. I still occasionally use my original

OM1 system that was purchased in 1972

and is still in good working order. The new

digital cameras are very innovative and

beautifully engineered. The EM camera system is very

compact and light without compromising image quality. I

have tried other systems, but love using my Olympus E-M1

II with high-grade Zuiko lenses, which are so compact and

light. There is nothing comparable to match the quality. I’m

reassured by Olympus’s pledge to continue to provide high-

quality backup and to support the new owner of the brand.

I love the electronic viewnder, the In Body

Image Stabilisation, and the Pro lenses

that, together, allow sharp handheld

images at long shutter speeds thought

impossible only a few years ago. Olympus

solved the problem of dust reaching the

sensor back in 2003, which today in my opinion has never

been satisfactorily resolved by their competitors. I

photograph inside churches with shutter speeds as slow^

as ½ second, and have had several front covers and

double-page spreads in magazines.
