Club essentials

8 Walberswick, Suffolk
by Alf Hoole This dark
building has been
beautifully framed,
allowing the foreground
to play a visually
significant role.

7 Thornham Boat by Paul
Bullock History, livelihood
and changing times – all tied
up in one great image.

4 Back Street Life
by I Bramwell The
puddle and perspective
work so well. They bring
the image to life by
drawing the eye up and
down the whole scene.

These days always provide much interest and

inspiration for the members. The day includes

a hotpot and pie lunch, and visitors are very

welcome. Details are shown on our website in

the spring and autumn.

How many members do you have?

The membership has always been in the

mid-thirties.

Are there any residential trips or outings

planned?

We do not have organised club trips, but

small groups of friends do meet up for days

out and visits to photographic exhibitions.

Members support each other with their

personal exhibitions in other venues.

Information about forthcoming events
is published on our website
http://www.lancashiremonochrome.com

What are the club’s goals for the future?
It is our intention to continue giving each
member the opportunity to pursue their own
passion for monochrome photography and to
be encouraging and helpful to each other.
Members have varying degrees of experience,
some rst getting into photography in the
days of lm and darkroom practice, others
only ever having used digital photography. The
medium is totally unimportant... all that is
required is an interest in producing
monochrome images of whatever subject
interests the individual.
