FALL GUYS
Guys. [...] That’s a big focus for
the team right now: [...] making sure
that we have this constant flow of new
rounds into the game.”
Mediatonic revealed season two’s
Medieval theme during Opening Night
Live at this year’s Gamescom. New
costumes allow you to dress up as a
knight, dragon, mage, or your own
fantastical, pseudo-middle-ages
combination. Your adventurous beans
must drop drawbridges, buffet siege
ramps, and avoid swinging axes in
rounds styled as epic knightly quests.
But, when it comes to the future of
Fall Guys, the age of chivalry is far
from where the story ends.
UNITED WE FALL
Walsh tells us the team are listening
to the community. “People are really
excited about having new ways to play.
So we hear a lot of people just want
to race gauntlets all day, those are
their favourite rounds. We hear people
want to play a squads mode where
you win or lose as teams [....] We
hear that a lot of people would really
love crossplay between PlayStation
and PC. And, you know, we haven’t
got concrete plans in place yet. A lot
of things are in flux, but those are the
types of things that we’re looking at
when we’re looking at the big things
that we can add to Fall Guys to keep
things interesting.”
However, the team will maintain a
focused approach to developing
updates. Walsh explains, “For every
single round in Fall Guys, [you will
find] an army of people who think it’s
the best round [...] and an army of
people who think it’s the worst [...]
and it’s a big learning process as a
team to not immediately jump on
feedback that you see and also to
make sure that you gain a measured,
balanced view of the situation before
you make any drastic changes.”

Proof that OPM readers can be very naughty beans
Lead designer Joe
Walsh admits “I do
the odd finish-line
grab myself,” and
tells us player
shenanigans are
here to stay. On
social media we
asked what’s the
worst thing you’ve
done in a match.
And you said...
“I drop
to the
bottom
of
Hex-A-Gone
and remove as
much as possible
while watching
everyone else fall
through the gaps
I’ve made.”
@ChazzH69
“When
I’m losing
in Fall
Ball and I
know I’m not going
to win due to being
put on an uneven
team, I start
scoring goals in
my own goal.”
@DeejBruce
“Someone grabbed me in the
first round, so I kept trying to
sabotage him/her every round.
[...] Team Tail Tag they were on
my team, See-Saw made them miss out
on the top 20%, Jump Club kept grabbing
them but they survived every time. When
Hex-A-Gone came I just followed, grabbed
and made us both hit the slime first!”
Richard Dunbar
“I AM
LOVING
THIS
GAME.
But the worst
thing I do is not
co-ordinating my
outfit. Cactus
top with a
pigeon bottom?
MONSTER.”
Harry Allen
“NEW COSTUMES ALLOW
YOU TO DRESS UP AS A
KNIGHT, DRAGON, OR MAGE.”
The fabulously furry
Big Bad Wolf costume
was only available
during launch week.
Our top tip for Hit Parade: you can see where
the wrecking balls are by their shadows.
“One guy
tried to
grab me
early in
a match on the
moving walls level
so I just grabbed
him back and
doomed us both.”
