Call Of Duty:

Modern Warfare

update

T

he campaign may
have proved to be a
questionable bag of
politically-charged ferrets,
but Modern Warfare’s
multiplayer was an instant hit. It only
became better as time went on, in
large part thanks to the decision to
launch with the Battle Pass system
instead of the traditional season
pass and map pack DLC. Gone
are the days of getting kicked
out of a lobby because your
friend bought a map pack that
you didn’t.
Since it was released,
Modern Warfare has gained 14
multiplayer maps, six Gunfight
maps, and four Ground
War maps – all for
free, for everybody.
Throw in a bunch
of free weapons
and almost
endless
challenges to
complete, and
even the
outrageous prices
being charged for
cosmetic bundles
can (just about)
be forgiven.
It looks like COD: WWII is
destined to be the last entry in the
series with lootboxes, and good
riddance. Heck, we were even
encouraged to spend 1,000 COD Points
on a Battle Pass ourselves, as the
premier unlockables include enough
points to buy the next season’s pass
(provided you get through enough
tiers). But enough about that; let us
take you through some of that juicy
free content added since launch.

Season five is now under
way. If you purchase the

then a new finishing move
to unlock, where you
summon a crow to peck
your enemy to death.
Caw blimey!
