In Verizon’s case, we saw those speeds on E Passyunk in South Philly as well as
on the Temple U campus, where both Verizon 4G and 5G were present. In
AT&T’s case, we got those super-fast speeds in Center City, Northeast Philly,
and on the Temple and UPenn campuses. While T-Mobile didn’t do
overwhelmingly well anywhere, once again, the Temple campus showed some of
its best performance.

Verizon and AT&T otherwise had very similar 4G performance in Pittsburgh, a

As we saw in Philadelphia, if you want really good coverage in Pittsburgh, hang
around the universities. We also saw some of our best AT&T speeds near the

though. In Coraopolis, for instance, we saw good coverage and speeds
downtown, but much worse performance up in the hills. Unfortunately, this is
just physics—the very rugged Pittsburgh area has a lot of challenges for wireless
transmission. If you live up a hill or in a valley, you might want to look into a
wireless signal booster to improve your situation.
