Mid-range

4K TVs

id-range 4K TVs are hugely
popular, because they often
represent the most affordable
prices for the higher-end TV tech.
For example, this price range has generally
been the one to offer consumers their first
opportunity to buy some of the best OLED
TVs. However it isn’t all about OLED: there are
some fantastic LCD QLED TVs also available,
and whichever display technology you end up
going for, both are dominated by high-end

models offering state-of-the-art HDR and
smart features.
The mid-range 4K TV market is dominated
by OLEDs and high-end QLED TVs (or
equivalent LCD technology). As a result, you
can expect the LCD screens to use a direct LED
backlight with local dimming, which helps
them get closer to the deep black range that
OLED offers.
Both TV techs will offer extensive HDR
support and AI-enhanced image processing.

But, when picking a set at this price, you
should also be looking for higher-end sound
systems (including Dolby Atmos support if
you’re considering a high-end soundbar or a
surround system), comprehensive smart
systems, and plenty of cool gaming features.
To help you find your perfect TV for a
mid-range price, we’re comparing the best
sets available right now, encompassing OLED
and LCD, as well as the full gamut of HDR,
sound and gaming features.
