about Cutler from
Paul McCartney, who
recruited him to playGlasgow in 1923 in
fairly ordinary
circumstances. Yet
he enjoyed an
extraordinary life.
He was at times
gregarious, at other
times a fierce loner,
with an array of
eccentric habits, and
those who knew him
personally or just via
his work tended to love
