INSIDER JOHN WICK HEX
No rest for
the Wicked
John Wick Hex recreates the action of
the films with a strategy twist
twist that you only have one man
under your command.
The story includes the voice talents
of series stars Ian McShane and Lance
Reddick, and there are more cast
members yet to be revealed. It tells
an original tale created for the game
- though we’d hazard a guess the
synopsis is ‘John Wick gets annoyed
and kills everyone, again’.
A release date is yet to be
announced, and currently it’s only
confirmed for ‘consoles’, though we
think that’s more than likely to include
Xbox One. While you wait, why not take
your dog for a walk? Q
The John Wick series is a full-blown
cultural phenomenon these days.
Keanu Reeves’ turn as a stony-faced,
dog-loving, unkillable assassin has
enchanted action-hungry cinemagoers
the world over – and now he’s headed
to your console, too.

might expect, it focuses in on the
hero’s tactical mastery, reimagining
his brawls as moments of intricate
turn-based strategy.

as you string together the perfect
action sequence to get him through
alive. There are echoes of the superb
Superhot in its remixing of the classic
Hollywood gunfight, but with some of
the flavour of XCOM’s squad-based
tactics, too – though with the obvious
