BLOOD, DEATH AND HORROR STALK THE ROUNDUP THIS

MONTH... BUT ALSO LASER SWORDS ROBIN VALENTINE

VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE –

BLOODLINES 2

PUBLISHER PARADOX INTERACTIVE
DEVELOPER HARDSUIT LABS DUE MARCH 2020

Though you’ll begin this blood-sucking
RPG as a lonely ‘Thinblood’ cast-off, you’ll
be able to earn membership to one of
five vampire clans, each with their own
outlook and special abilities. Take the
Brujah, for example – it’s a group made up
of anarchists and rebels who love a scrap,
and joining them will give you powers that
enhance your physical speed and strength.

WARLANDER

PUBLISHER CLOCK DRIVE GAMES
DEVELOPER CLOCK DRIVE GAMES DUE 2019

We’ve always got time for a good laser
sword, and Warlander’s so full of them
we’re inclined to forgive its powerfully
generic title and growly, self-serious story.
As a kind of champion of nature, you’ll
chop hordes of techno-zombies into bits,
taking off heads and limbs thanks to a very
satisfying-looking “real-time mesh slicing”
system. Oh, and your sword talks.

FROSTPUNK

PUBLISHER 11 BIT STUDIOS
DEVELOPER 11 BIT STUDIOS DUE WINTER

This bleak city-builder from the creators
of This War Of Mine challenges you to
keep your shivering citizens alive through
a devastating second ice age. Along the
way you’ll make brutal moral choices that’ll
help decide their fate. It already launched
on PC last year to critical acclaim, so really
the only question is how well the team will
adapt its controls for controllers.

REMOTHERED:
GOING PORCELAIN

PUBLISHER MODUS GAMES
DEVELOPER STORMIND GAMES, DARRIL ARTS
DUE 2020

‘Going Porcelain’ may sound like a
euphemism for nipping to the toilet, but the
only pooing you’ll be doing here will be right
into your pants from fright. It’s the second
part in a survival horror trilogy that takes
its inspiration from the Japanese classic
Clock Tower, full of moments of creeping
suspense and sweaty panic alike.

XIII

PUBLISHER MICROÏDS
DEVELOPER PLAYMAGIC DUE 13 NOVEMBER

If you owned the original Xbox, you may
well have fond memories of the cult
classic cel-shaded shooter XIII, a tangled
thriller that sees an amnesiac battling
against a conspiracy to overthrow the US
government. Now developer PlayMagic
has announced that it’s working on a full
remake, with modernised graphics, sound
and animations.

SEA OF SOLITUDE

PUBLISHER ELECTRONIC ARTS
DEVELOPER JO-MEI GAMES DUE SUMMER

Already a long time coming, this
atmospheric adventure has been delayed
to the summer – though its tale of a world
where loneliness literally turns people
into monsters looks worth the wait. Sea Of
Solitude hopes to tackle issues of mental
health via the journey of its already partly
transformed protagonist, Kay, through a
city half-sunk below the waves.
