Time to put on our deepest voices and proclaim, “I
am Batman!” once more as we dive into the recently
remastered Rocksteady games. Return To Arkham
(p96) gives us both Arkham Asylum and Arkham
City, and we see whether we’re viewing those
games now through rose-tinted cowls, or whether
they still hold up on Xbox One. For our other Now
Playings, we check out Rocket League’s Rumble
Mode (p98) and then revisit the sky-city of
Columbia for BioShock Infinite (p99). In the dark
days before the original Xbox, SEGA had its own
consoles, but Panzer Dragoon Orta was one
of the company’s earliest games as a dedicated
games publisher for other hardware. It’s a brilliantly
imaginative game about riding dragons, and was
one of the OG Xbox’s best titles. So we thought we
Orta dedicate this month’s Retrospective feature
to it, on page 100! What with this year having
already seen a couple of top-quality fighting games
launched, Mortal Kombat 11 and Dead Or Alive 6,
we get our resident fighting game expert to compile
some tips on How To Get Good At Fighting Games
on page 104! On page 106 Why I Love Torch Games
explains our affection for games such as Alan Wake,
that involve little more than a trusty torch. Finally we
show off the 10 Best Cars On Xbox , from page 108!
