Make-up artist Kellie Mitchell says, ‘At this age, your skintone is
likely to be the lightest it will ever be. That’s because your skin
has accumulated little sun damage and is more transparent
than it will be when you’re older. But you’ll probably still have
plenty of natural colour in your lips, brows and lashes. This
contrast makes you look younger and means you don’t have
to go dark to glow.’ Instead, play up your natural luminosity.
‘Glossy skin is in,’ says Kellie. Mix an illuminating product with
foundation for a soft-focus effect first, says Kellie, ‘Then
highlight your best features with an illuminating powder
applied to the tops of cheekbones, under the brow, on the tip

that will work in double-quick time. Look for tanning products
you don’t need to leave on for hours – but don’t skimp on the
time you spend applying them. Use a mitt to apply in circles
on clean, dry skin. Wait for it to dry, then check skin all over
