FRAUD BUSTER ON IOS
On Windows and Mac, Fraud Buster checks your web-
based email for frauds by sending it to Trend Micro for
analysis (providing you’re using a supported webmail
service and browser). The iOS edition checks the
contents of your messages when you register it as an

all SMS and MMS messages from senders not in your
contacts list will be sent to Trend Micro, including

didn’t have Fraud Buster send Trend Micro all my email
for analysis in the Windows edition.
On iOS, Fraud Buster has another facet, one that
involves your screenshots and photos. It can

dangerous URLs, and you can also choose photos from
your camera roll for analysis. I snapped a photo of the
URL for the AMTSO’s phishing test page, and Fraud
Buster detected it as dangerous. I haven’t seen this
feature matched by any competing product. Fraudsters
and scammers like to send short URLs in images, so
simple text-based scanning can’t catch them, making
this feature a valuable one.
LIMITED LOST DEVICE PROTECTION
From the Trend Micro online portal, you can locate a
lost or stolen iOS device, share its location on Facebook,
or sound an alarm. Yes, you can do a lot more with a
lost Android, but Apple doesn’t make things easy.
