beabadoobee, whose real name is Beatrice
Laus, releases her debut studio album, which
the artist has described as a collection of
“diary entries” that were written in late 2019
and explore many female-specific problems.

1. Although born in Iloilo City in the
   Philippines, Laus was raised in London.


2. “I made sure that there was a song for
   every mood and for every Bea that exists,”
   she told Apple Music about the making
   of the album.


3. The album’s songs pay strong tribute to the
   ‘90s artists and films she enjoyed growing up.


4. Laus has appeared as a supporting act on
   tours of The 1975 and Clairo.


5. “This song is about the dependency you
   have with someone and missing that when
   you’re away and learning to be by yourself,”
   Laus has said of the album’s fifth and final
   single, “Together”.
