TIP
Short rows in crochet are one of
those great mysteries in crafting. In
knitting you can add them to get
more height in your rows; in crochet
you can go in any direction and get
more height, new shapes, and new
patterns, all in the same row. Since
you will be turning back and forth
quite a bit and the right and wrong
sides will start to get muddled, be
sure to keep track of where you are
on the diagram by crossing off what
you have already crocheted.
