The lattice stitches in this fabric create quite an eye-grabbing pat-
tern with columns of crossed lines racing up the center.
Lattice Stitch (lat st): Yo 4 times, insert hk into ch-5 sp 2 rows
below and pull up lp, [yo, pull through 2 lps] twice, yo twice,
insert hk into ch-sp across from same ch-5 sp on prev column and
pull up lp, [yo, pull through 2 lps] twice, insert hk into ch-5 sp
above on prev column and pull up lp, [yo, pull through 2 lps on
hk] twice, yo, pull through 4 lps on hk, [yo, pull through 2 lps on
hk] twice.
First Column
Row 1 (RS): Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 5, dc in ea dc, dc in 3rd ch of ch 6 from row 1,
turn—4 dc.
Row 3: Ch 5, dc in ea dc across, turn.
Rep row 3 to desired length.
Bottom Turning
Row 1: Ch 2, sl st to ch-5 sp above (2 rows prev), ch
2, dc in next 4 dc, turn.
Row 2: Ch 5, dc in next 4 dc, turn.
Rep rows 1 and 2 three more times, working sl st in
same ch-5 sp as row 1.
Next Column
Row 1: Ch 2, lat st in ch-5 sp below (in prev row), in
ch-sp to the left (in prev column) and ch-sp above
(on prev column), ch 2, dc in next 4 dc, turn.
Row 2: Ch 5, dc in next 2 dc, turn.
Rep rows 1 and 2 to row 3 of prev column; rep row 1.
Rep Bottom Turning.
