Fleur Brussels Motif
Brussels lace can wrap around any shape to border it. This motif
shows just one way you can use Brussels lace.
Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 1st ch.
Fleur Motif
Make an adjustable ring.
Rnd a: Ch 1, [sc, ch 3, tr] in ring, picot, ch 4, sl st in 1st ch, picot,
[tr, ch 3, 2 sc] in ring, ch 7, sc in ring; rep from 3 more times, sl
st to 1st sc, fasten off.
Brussels Edging
Row 1 (RS): Ch 9, dc in 6th ch from hk, dc in next 3 ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, tr in ch-7 sp on fleur, ch 2, dc in next 4 dc, turn.
Row 3: Ch 5, dc in next 4 dc, turn.
Row 4: Ch 2, sc in next ch-4 sp on fleur, ch 2, dc in
next 4 dc, turn.
Rep row 3 on all odd rows.
Row 6: Ch 2, tr in next ch-7 sp on fleur, ch 2, dc in
next 4 dc, turn.
Row 8: Ch 2, dtr in same ch-7 sp on fleur, ch 2, dc in
next 4 dc, turn.
Row 10: Ch 2, sl st to prev dtr, ch 2, dc in next 4 dc,
turn.
Rep rows 2–11 around fleur, end with a row 10, fas-
ten off whipstitch foundation chain and last row
together.
