Ch a multiple of 6 sts plus 1.

Row 1 (RS) Fwd: Pull up lp in 2nd ch from hk and ea ch across.

Rtn: Change color, yo, pull through 1 lp on hk, *yo, pull through

2 lps on hk; rep from * to end, change color at last st.

Row 2 Fwd: (Lp on hk counts as 1st sc.) Yo, *Tps in next st,

move yarn to front, insert hk in vert bar of next 3 sts at once, yo

and pull up a lp, Tps in next st, yo, Tps in next st, yo; rep from *

across to last 6 sts, Tps in next st, move yarn to front, insert hk in

vert bar of next 3 sts at once, yo and pull up a lp, Tps in next st,

yo, sk next st, Tps in last st. Rtn: Change color, work off lps as

normal, change color at last st.

Row 3 Fwd: (Lp on hk counts as 1st sc.) Yo, *Tss in back vert bar

TIP

Changing color in Tunisian crochet is as simple as

folding the new color strand over the hook and

continuing as the pattern directs. When the color

changes at the beginning of a row, add the new

color when there are two loops left on the previous

row. When the color changes at the end of the row,

you can change the color on the first yarn over.
