Double Crochet Track Seam

This incredibly simple seam looks more complex, which
makes the beauty of it sing. This motif looks great on
motifs with solid final rounds or ones with a regular spac-
ing of tall stitches, like granny squares.

Hold the motifs together with wrong sides facing.

Join the yarn to the edge of the motif closest to you.
Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next st of motif closest to you,
*sk 2 sts in motif farthest from you, dc in next 2 sts of
far motif, sk 2 sts in near motif, dc
in next 2 sts of near motif; rep from
* across, fasten off.

Chain Space Seam

This is one of the most common ways to join two lacy
motifs. The chain spaces become invisible in the larger
fabric.

Align the edges of the motifs side-by-side, and join the
yarn to the motif on the right.
