Small Motif Join

When motifs are connected and have a void, you can
use small motifs to fill in the space and make the
resulting fabric sturdier.

This can work with any motif. Just replace a chain for
a slip stitch join as in the previous joining.

In the example shown, ch 7, sl st to 1st ch to make
a ring. Ch 2, 2 dc-cl in ring, *ch 1, sl st to adjoining
motif’s picot, ch 1, 3 dc-cl in ring, ch 1, sl st to
adjoining motif’s next picot, ch 1, 3 dc-cl in ring; rep
from * for each additional motif around, sl st to 2
dc-cl, fasten off.
