Picot Curls Edging

This adorable edging adds a bit of whimsy to any project.

Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 1st ch.

The stitch pattern is a multiple of 3 on the sides. Join the yarn to
the edge with a sl st, and ch 1.

Rnd 1 (RS): *Sc across edge in a multiple of 3, 3 sc in corner; rep
from * around, sl st to 1st sc, do not turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in next 2 sc, *[picot, hdc in next
3 sc] across to 1 sc before corner sc, picot, hdc in sc before corner,
[2 hdc, picot, 2 hdc] in corner sc, hdc in next sc; rep from * around,
sl st to top of t-ch, do not turn.

Rnd 3: Sl st to next 2 hdc, ch 1, sc in same hdc, *ch 5, sk 2 hdc, sc
in next hdc; rep from * to corner, ch 7 sk 2 corner hdc, sc in next

the edge with a sl st, and ch 2 (this counts as a half double crochet).

corner; rep from * around, sl st to top of t-ch, do not turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in top of t-ch, *(ch 4, sk 3 hdc, sc in next hdc) across
to corner hdc, ch 4, sk corner hdc, sc in next hdc; rep from * around,
sl st to 1st sc, do not turn.
