Cluster Picot Edging

This lacy edging is a simple chain lace with just a bit of fancy

clusters on the final round.

Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 1st ch.

Cluster: *Yo, insert hk into st indicated, yo, pull up lp, yo,

pull through 2 lps on hk, yo, insert hk into same st, yo, pull

up lp, yo, pull through 2 lps on hk; rep from * in next st

indicated, yo, pull through all lps on hk.

The stitch pattern is a multiple of 3 plus 2 on the sides. Join

the yarn to the edge with a sl st, and ch 1.

Rnd 1 (RS): *Sc across edge in a multiple of 3 plus 2, 3 sc in

corner; rep from * around, sl st to 1st sc, turn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in next sc, *ch 5, sk corner sc, sc in next sc,

[ch 4, sk 2 sc, sc in next sc] across to sc before corner; rep

from * around to 1st corner ch-sp, ch 2, hdc in 1st sc, turn.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in hdc, *[ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp] across cor-

ner ch-sp, ch 4, [sc, ch 7, sc] in ch-5 sp; rep from * around
