Row 5: Ch 1, [(3 sc, picot) twice, 6 sc]
in next ch-6 sp, 5 sc in next ch-7 sp,
turn.


Row 6: Ch 9, sk 9 sc, sc in next sc, turn.


Row 7: Ch 1, [(3 sc, picot) 3 times, 3 sc]
in ch-9 sp, sc in last sc on row 5, [sc,
(picot, 3 sc) twice] in ch-7 sp on row 4,
sc in last sc on row 3, 4 sc in ch-4 sp on
rnd 2, do not turn.


Rep rows 3–7 around, sl st to 1st sc on
row 3, fasten off.


Anderlecht Edging

This classic Belgium lace crochet goes from classic to exceptional with
the shell and picots on the last round that ruffle slightly.


Picot: Ch 3, sl st in 1st ch.


The stitch pattern can conform to any number of stitches on each side
of the project. Ch 8.


Row 1 (RS): Dc in 6th ch from hk and next 2 ch, do not turn.


Row 2: Ch 2, sl st to edge of project, ch 2, turn, dc in ea dc across,
turn.


Row 3: Ch 5, dc in ea dc across, do not turn.


Rep rows 2 and 3 across edge, evenly spacing the sl sts,
at the corner; work rows 2 and 3 halfway between last sl
st and corner, work a “rows 2–3” set at corner, place
another set halfway from typical edge sets; rep around
ending with a row 2, fasten off with long tail. Weave tail
through 1st and last rows, seaming them tog.


Last row: Join yarn to a ch-5 sp, ch 1, [3 sc, picot, 3 sc]
in same ch-5 sp, [2 sc, dc, picot, tr, picot, dtr, picot, tr,
picot, dc, 2 sc] in next ch-5 sp, [3 sc, picot, 3 sc] in next
ch-5 sp; rep from
around, sl st to 1st sc, fasten off.
