Stitch Pattern Repeat The stitches highlighted in gray in
the charts, are duplicated on the same row to create the
stitch pattern.
Turning Chain (t-ch) The turning chain is the beginning
of every row or round, whether it is one or five chains. The
turning chain always counts as a stitch in the row or round,
unless it is before a single crochet.
Crochet Techniques
Adjustable Ring Make a large loop with the yarn crossing
the end of the yarn over the working strand. Holding the
loop with your fingers, insert the hook into the loop and
pull the working strand through. Chain 1 to lock the loop.
Continue to work the indicated number of stitches into the
loop. Pull on the strand’s end to close the loop.
